Part Irish, part Japanese and born in Yokosuka, Japan, Stan moved to the United States as a child and eventually settled in the San Fernando Valley in California. Despite being the son of a strict soldier, Stan got involved with gang violence, and his prospects looked dim. However, when a fellow gang member shot two people, killing one, earning himself 25 years in prison, Stan was shocked. Having deciding off-the-cuff not to accompany his associate on what would be the murder, Stan realized if he didn't end his connections, before long he'd go to jail. Consequently, Stan got a steady job and enrolled in the local community college, where he got involved in the school's athletics. Having trained martial arts as a child, where he won two black belts, and having a background in high school football, Stan quickly adapted to the demands on college athletes. He began bodybuilding at this time to bulk up for college football; at 5'7", Stan was not a natural fit for the sport. In spite of his stature, Stan soon got attention for his body, and soon people were asking him if he was a serious bodybuilder. Sensing an opportunity, he entered a local bodybuilding contest. Prior to competing, he sought out a personal trainer, and he won the competition. Realizing this is what he wanted to do, Stan started studying kinesiology, and after graduation became a personal trainer. He has won many competitions, most recently the NPC Nationals Lightheavyweight. |
